Converse x Sak Spring / Summer 2010 Sneakers
Japanese and Italian influences pervade the designs of Ryusaku Hiruma, whose Sak brand recently collaborated with sneaker giant Converse to create these funky looking kicks for Spring / Summer 2010. With the Converse x Sak Spring / Summer 2010 collection, Hiruma sought to “bring together the history of Florence and Converse’s legacy.” The line features hand-stitched reworkings of Con classics such as Chuck Taylor, One Star, and Jack Purcell. Each shoe has been upgraded with leather soles, in the traditional Italian mode, giving them an overall look of increased refinement and luxury. The hand-cut logos and fresh colourways prevent these shoes from taking themselves too seriously, giving them a fun, street-ready feel. Available in both white and black with tan accents, these top-of-the-line sneakers will cost you significantly more than your average Cons.
