For Fall / Winter 2010, Louis Vuitton presents new versions of their Tower sneaker in both low top and high top versions. This time they decided to go with a woven premium leather upper, which actually looks pretty nice. The high top also comes with a low lace strap and both feature accents on the side-panels in dark blue.

Later this month, Heyday will be relaunching their Super Shift Ballistic’s. These are in a monotone colour story from sole to laces in five colours (vapor grey, black, clover, denim, and safety orange), and feature a removable translucent polymer ankle strap which can be adjusted to be worn multiple ways. The tongue can be snapped to the collar, and features Heyday’s signature setback eyestay and integrated tongue design. Anatomically molded, anti-microbial memory foam footbed and full terry cloth lining only compliment the rest of Heyday’s premium materials and features. Through this piece we get a glimpse of various upcoming designs, mostly minimalist in approached; heavily focusing on high-top sneakers as well as chukka style boots. The first release from Ronnie Fieg’s Nexus Project has been released. Ronnie Fieg brought together influential bloggers Marcus Troy, Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette, William Yan, Greg Weinstein of Culture Shoq, and director Jake Davis to redesign and reconstruct classic footwear in the Dominican Republic for Sebago. Each blogger adds their own personal twist and aesthetics to their shoe. Marcus Troy’s version of the Dockside by Sebago comes in a “Buffalo” brown and red colourway which are available exclusively at David Z. Marcus stated “This colourway was inspired by my love for luxury and my aspirational tendencies”. Stay tuned for more releases from the Nexus Project coming throughout the Summer and Fall seasons.
Los Angeles-based Stampd’ gives us a glimpse of an interesting upcoming model from their Fall 2010 Collection. Dubbed the Steezy Hi, the sneakers use the same mold as previous Stampd’ releases, while mimicking the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton “Jasper” sneakers, with a witty play on graphics. Look for these to release at some point in August.
Nike is continuing with new colourways of their popular ½ Cent hybrid sneaker by applying popular colours they’ve tested out on the original retro. The two latest additions are the popular Eggplant & Cranberry that we’ve seen used on the Foamposite 1 sneaker. No word on an exact release date as of yet, but be on the lookout during the Holiday season for an update.
