On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, The Leaders of the New Cool, the premier traveling showcase featuring emerging urban artists, returns to New York City! In the last 6 months we’ve hit NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles with capacity shows featuring the stars of tomorrow.

The upcoming Leaders of the New Cool NYC installment will be particularly special as we’ll be debuting the “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” contest based on Angela Yee’s Sirius Radio segment of the same name. The “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” winner will be selected by our industry panel featuring Shani Gonzales (National Director A&R, Def Jam Universal), Walt Jones (Manager of A&R Creative, Sony ATV Publishing) and Ryan Press (National Director A&R, Warner/Chappell Publishing).

The Leaders Of The New Cool LA

The Leaders Of The New Cool LA show takes place tonight at The Echoplex from 10:00 P.M. – 3:00 A.M.  Some changes were made to the line-up and unfortunately Curren$y will no longer be performing, but Diz Gibran and Young De have been added to the line-up.  I’d like to take this time to thank the many sponsors who got involved and for all of the blogs who have shown us love.  The list is quite extensive and I don’t want to accidentally forget anybody, so those of you who have shown us love, you know who you are.  Be prepared for The Leaders Of The New Cool to invade a city near you in the near future.
