V Magazine issue 67 is the New York Issue and features native New Yorkers Marc Jacobs and Lady Gaga. The image is one of two covers, the other featuring Marina Abramovic and Tyson Ballou. Both shots are part of the ‘New York!’ editorial, photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Nicola Formichetti, focusing on famous New Yorkers and New York lifestyle. The brand’s Spring / Summer 2011 Collection is certainly one of their best and is sure to be worn by the who’s who of the celebrity world, perhaps by Yeezy and his Rosewood campaign? Not many people can make a living off their favourite childhood pastime, but Demetrius and Ricardo of Dee and Ricky can beg to differ as they have successfully transformed their funky hobby into a lucrative venture, crafting accessory pieces out of LEGO blocks. The quirky duo is no stranger to collaborations, as their repertoire has included Kanye West, Fred Segal, and Marc Jacobs has also used exclusive pieces from the label for his runway show. This time around, the duo goes beyond stateside and collaborates with Japan’s ROC STAR, to create a series of “Bird of Paradise” pins for the latter’s Spring/Summer 2010 Africa-themed collection. These LEGO stacked pins create adorable tropical birds in vibrant colours and are fun accessories to add some pizazz to your basic tees, blazers, or messenger bags. The collaborative pin is due to release on Jan. 23 at SWAGGER flagship in Harajuku.

We take a first look at the upcoming Marc Jacobs Spring / Summer 2010 Sneaker Collection, as well as some of the shoes that we liked. Next season a super high top will be introduced, featuring two zippers. It comes in two colorways with canvas uppers. A solid mid top comes in black and white with a check pattern over the upper. The collection also features two solid suede leather shoes with an added strap, making for an interesting look.
